Harriett O’Grady is a multi-disciplinary artist with her work spanning many forms. After graduating from Rose Bruford’s BA (Hons) Acting course in 2019 and establishing herself as a multi-talented performer, she quickly moved into exploring her creativity and expanding her craft. She now also works as a writer, director, facilitator, movement director, games designer and creative consultant.
As a performer, her work has been varied and explorative. She has been involved in several immersive performances – most notably Secret Cinema’s Casino Royale in Shanghai (2019-2020), The Lost Estate’s The Great Murder Mystery (2021) and Immersive Everywhere’s Peaky Blinders: The Rise (2022). She has also been involved in several film projects, from UN language guides to Guerilla Films WAITING with HaHo productions, due for release in 2026. Most recently on stage she has played Cleopatra in Who The F*** Is Shakespeare? for 20 Stories High (2024), Marian in Robin Hood at The Egg (2024-25) and Patricia Porschley Plum (amongst many other roles) in Who Let The Gods Out? at Polka Theatre (2026).
As a director, Harriett loves to work holistically, and feels passionate about bringing out the best of every creative involved in her projects. She has directed an all-female Julius Caesar, assistant directed the wonderful Adjoa Andoh on Richard III at the Liverpool Everyman/The Rose Theatre (2023) and, most recently, directed, edited, wrote, produced, choreographed and co-composed her first ever independent production for the Camden Fringe – NAVARRE!, a Shakespeare Shake-up of Love’s Labour’s Lost set in a modern jazz club. She is currently working with Theatre503 on their LandWrites season.
Harriett has most recently expanded her craft into the world of writing, and has already worked on several projects, including a Horrible Histories activation for the Basingstoke Living Museum as well as writing and delivering for high-profile clients and private parties. She is currently writing three separate theatrical pieces for Cunard Cruises’ 250th Southampton-New York Route anniversary. She has plans to write and direct something new, bold and exciting this year, so watch this space!
Alongside this, she has become well known for her gaming skills and abilities, and works regularly as a games and immersive experience designer. She has designed cryptic code experiences, corporate team-building games and is currently in talks about scripting, creating and designing a Late Night Games Show for the Edinburgh Fringe 2026.
