Praise for There is a Light and a Whistle for Attracting Attention:

“The performance by Henri Merriam is pitch-perfect… this is a hauntingly heartbreaking ode to love and memory, and it will certainly stick in mine for a very long time.” ★★★★★ Broadway Baby

“Merriam’s performance is faultless, using the stage space creatively. The pine chest of the drawers centre stage holds the secrets and memories of the couples life together. Prepare to go on an emotional roller-coaster as the drawers open one step at a time.” ★★★★★ Theatre and Arts Review

“The script is poetic and gorgeous. There is an almost lyrical quality to it, with the play shifting deftly between reality and metaphor. Humour and heartbreak are balanced well with many moments of quiet devastation and sharp comedy… Merriam navigates the shifting tone of the piece as a performer with nuance and clarity, at times confident, and others fractured and raw… There is a Light and a Whistle for Attracting Attention is smart and quietly radical.” Voice Magazine
